Wave Software Focuses on Global Expansion: Strengthens Core Software Capabilities with Foreign Language Processing

Software is geared for global e-discovery and sales expand into Southeast Asia, Europe

ORLANDO, Florida (July 5, 2007)—Orlando-based Wave Software, an innovator in the de-duplication, re-generation and export of native e-mail files, today announced they are rapidly growing the international scope of their flagship product, Trident, to process 70+ different foreign languages. Law firms and corporations worldwide use Trident for e-discovery and regulatory response. This capability meets strong market demand for multi-language processing and review in a single repository. Trident software can process the most difficult foreign languages in their native format including Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Thai. Trident process es Unicode, non-Unicode, double byte and UTF-8 data. Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Armenian, Hebrew, Arabic, and many other foreign languages are processed just as if they were in English.

Demonstrating the breadth of the company’s focus and commitment to simple, fast, and accurate e-discovery and e-mail data processing, Wave Software’s president, Robert Childress, and his dedicated product development staff continue to build Trident into a tool that can transform e-discovery and e-mail processing worldwide.

As corporations become more global, likelihood of litigation spanning across borders has increased tremendously. When foreign language e-mails make up part of a discovery request or regulatory filing requirement, legal teams need to review these documents to determine whether they are non-responsive, responsive or privileged. Trident’s sophisticated technology can import files, regardless of language, automatically remove duplicate files, then re-generate and export the e-mails in their native file format for review.

“Wave Software’s focus on global e-discovery stems from our ability to partner and align with leading litigation support and e-discovery vendors in the UK, Canada, Australia, and Southeast Asia. On a universal issue as complex as e-discovery, we need to commit and act on several levels from a clear corporate vision into a clear global vision. Our product development team has continued to demonstrate success at every level that is further defined by our strong and well supported customer base,” states Robert Childress, president of Wave Software.

"We're excited to bring Trident, an innovative e-mail de-duplication, re-generation and export tool to ICE clients as we transform from a traditional software provider into a company that delivers fast, reliable, and cost-effective technologies. We want to change the way attorneys view electronic discovery and e-mail management," states Robert Childress, president of Wave Software.
