WESTBOROUGH, MA, October 18, 2011 – C2C, a leading provider of email, file and messaging management—including in-place legal hold—solutions, and Wave Software, a leading provider of early data analytics, electronic data discovery, and litigation project management technology for global corporations and legal professionals, announced today the signing of a strategic alliance agreement. As part of their agreement, C2C and Wave Software will collaborate on both sales consulting and operations to provide clients strategies for technical solutions to email and discovery management challenges. The alliance will streamline the attorney review process and thus reduce the overall cost of litigation. C2C’s technology allows search and retrieval from mail servers, local mail stores and loose files anywhere on a client enterprise, providing the ability to automate many processes in search, preservation and collection of corporate email and other data. The company’s new Advanced Discovery product, including In-House Legal Hold, allows all potentially relevant documents within the enterprise to be located and locked into a secure repository, with all metadata intact. Wave Software is known for its family of products including Trident Preview, Trident Pro, and its newest product, Trident Expert, a cost- and time-saving early data analysis technology that discovery legal teams use prior to review. Wave also offers project management software, Framework. As corporations and their outside counsel grapple with litigation, they must also manage the lifecycle of email from creation through storage and production. They must consider control of data throughout all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). By strategically aligning C2C’s Advanced Discovery with Trident technologies, discovery and document management systems will become streamlined, secure and cost-effective. As clients consult with C2C or Wave Software, the teams will work together to offer the best professional services and support to enable turnkey solutions. Alignment of the two companies will help facilitate the easy passing of emails and loose files to all popular review platforms, including those typically used by outside counsel. Refining and streamlining data for additional processing or review platforms is Trident’s forte.
