ORLANDO, Fla. (January 30, 2009) - Orlando-based Wave Software, an innovator in the       

de-duplication, regeneration and export of native electronic data, today announced the launch of
near-duplicate detection to its flagship product, Trident Pro. Trident Pro 6.0, which automatically
maps and loads processed e-discovery data into common review platforms, will now have the
capability of near-duplicate detection which will allow users to eliminate duplicate documents
from multi-gigabyte datasets in minutes, rather than hours.

Wave Software has researched and selected a proven algorithm that is both high performance
and conformant to forensic-data processing standards. Near-duplicate files represent between
25 and 50 percent of discovery collections. Discovering near-duplicate data will allow law firms
and corporations to streamline their e-discovery and review process, reduce risk, increase
document review productivity, and significantly reduce discovery costs.

Trident Pro 6.0 seamlessly integrates with direct loads into CT Summation and Concordance
and is useful with any review product. Near-duplicate detection can be performed in multiple
Trident Pro modules including File de-duplication, Email de-duplication, Filter/Merge/Split,
Snapshot and Native Review Bridge. Reliability of near-duplicate detection is enhanced by
integrating it within Trident’s existing exact-duplication detection. This design feature supports
reduced processing time and provides better output for forensic analysis.

Trident Pro is the first software in the legal industry that automatically maps and loads
processed e-discovery data into common review platforms. Trident integrates seamlessly into
the law firm, corporate legal or legal service provider’s current workflow processes, allowing
